The goal of our blog, Intentional Impacts, is to highlight Das Greenhaus initiatives, spotlight local entrepreneurs, educate the community on critical issues, share current events, and celebrate economic progress.
Meet Ricky Gleason, Brad Roberson, and James Schuepbach, the three co-founders who have come together to launch Forge Business Brokerage, a firm dedicated to helping business owners navigate the complexities of buying and selling.
With this internship came lessons that I learned as well. One of the main lessons I learned is that you can’t be afraid of something new. This internship put tasks in front of me unlike anything I had ever done before; but by putting my best foot forward, I learned that the only thing holding me back was the fear of doing something new.
Mentorship is an important component of any organization. Regardless of the industry or type of work, all people benefit from developing meaningful connections with others, talking through opportunities and challenges, and receiving intentional and personalized feedback. While mentorship is important for all organizations, when working with startups, we believe mentorship is not only important, but essential.
In early 2024, Katie and Melissa came together to co-found Prickly Pair Consulting; their goal being simple; to offer honest assistance with property taxation, with a focus on education and helping clients navigate what they feel is often an intentionally confusing and misleading system.
Recently, Das Greenhaus hosted a Summer Speaker Series open to the Boerne and Kendall County community. Over a three-week period, the featured speakers—Catie Campbell, Rod Collins, and Samuel Riehn—provided the community with education and inspiration over their lunch. From inspiration on how to stand out in a crowded industry, to information on doing business with the Department of Defense, this speaker series saw a wide variety of both topics and listeners.
Incubator.edu is a program designed to allow students to truly experience entrepreneurship while still in high school; throughout the course of the school year they create a business, identifying a product or service they feel will solve a problem in their community. Students are even matched with local business leaders who provide mentorship throughout the process.
We could not have chosen a better month or a more fitting theme to be featured in BOERNE LIFESTYLE. Investment, the theme of the magazine’s April issue, is not only at the heart of what we do here at Das Greenhaus, but it is also what inspired the creation of our organization and it is what our entire mission is built around.
GeoRanch’s mission is to serve landowners; guiding them in understanding the options, possibilities, and potential of their land. By understanding the landowner’s wishes, Sonja and her team are able to present opportunities for innovative partnerships, leasing, or selling.
As a startup ourselves, always eager to share our story and tell why and how Das Greenhaus came to be, we were thrilled at the opportunity to do just that in not one, but two local publications last month.
